– UK – The Board of Aberdeen New Thai Investment Trust PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Clare Dobie as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 13 December 2013.
Mrs Dobie joined Barclays Global Investors in 1993 with a variety of responsibilities including Head of Marketing and Head of Clients. She then moved to GAM in 2001 as Group Head of Marketing. Leaving GAM in 2005, Mrs Dobie is now a Director at Braxted Marketing Measures, a marketing and client services consultancy working with, amongst others, investment consultants and asset management organisations. She was, until recently, Deputy Chairman for Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Mrs Dobie is a non-executive director of F&C Capital & Income Trust plc and of Schroder UK Mid Cap Fund plc.
