DataXu appoints Dan Demmer to Board as independent Director

– USA, MA – DataXu, a leading provider of programmatic marketing solutions for brands and agencies, today announced that Dan Demmer has joined the company’s board of directors. Demmer brings to DataXu more than 25 years of leadership experience in business management and corporate finance in high growth technology companies where he will assume the role of independent director and chair of DataXu’s Audit Committee.

A recognized leader in technology and high growth enterprises, Demmer has deep expertise in leading companies to rapid revenue growth, profitability and IPO preparation.

Most recently, Demmer was president of Endeca Technologies, a leading provider of unstructured data management, web commerce and business intelligence solutions acquired by Oracle in 2011. Prior to Endeca, he spent seven years as chief financial officer of IONA Technologies, a high growth, profitable public software company specializing in application integration solutions. Demmer also is an operating partner at OpenView Venture Partners, a Boston-based software venture capital fund.

Demmer holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Maryland and resides in the Boston area with his family.
