Elekta appoints Niklas Savander as upcoming President and CEO

– SWEDEN, Stockholm – Elekta announced today that Niklas Savander has been appointed as its next President and Chief Executive Officer, effective May 1, 2014. Niklas Savander will succeed Tomas Puusepp, who will continue with Elekta as a working member of its Board of Directors focusing on strategic matters and market-developments per the same date.

Niklas Savander has extensive experience from senior management positions both within Hewlett-Packard and Nokia, most recently as a member of Nokia’s Executive Management Team responsible for the company’s day-to-day operations. He is currently a private equity adviser in Helsinki, Stockholm and London.
