Informa announces John Rishton to its Board as Independent Non-Executive Director

– UK, London – Informa (LSE: INF.L), the international Business Intelligence, Exhibitions, Events and Academic Publishing Group, today announced the appointment of John Rishton as a new independent Non-Executive Director, bringing further significant international experience to the Group.

John was Chief Executive of Rolls Royce Group plc between 2011 and 2015, having previously been Chief Executive and President of the Dutch international retailer, Royal Ahold NV and, prior to that, its Chief Financial Officer. He was also formerly Chief Financial Officer of British Airways plc.

John has extensive Non-Executive experience, including being a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee at Unilever Group.

John joins the Board on 1 September as Chairman-Elect of the Audit Committee, succeeding Dr Brendan O’Neill, who is due to step down from the Board in 2017 after nine years of service.
