McColl’s Retail Group announces Jens Hofma to its Board as upcoming Independent Non-Executive Director

– UK, Brentwood – McColl’s Retail Group Plc, (LSE:MCLS), today announces the following change to its Board.

As previously reported in the Company’s 2016 Annual Report and Accounts, the Board has undertaken a rigorous and extensive search for an additional Independent Non-Executive Director. The Board is now pleased to announce the appointment of Jens Hofma as Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company, with effect from 1 July 2017. Jens brings particular expertise in consumer goods as well as the restaurant and food-to-go industry, whilst also possessing an in-depth experience of growing multi-site businesses. Jens is currently Chief Executive of Pizza Hut Restaurants UK Ltd and has held a number of executive roles, including senior roles at Nestlé SA, McKinsey & Company and Yum! Brands Inc.

Jens will join the Board’s Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees upon appointment. It is further noted that Angus Porter became Chairman of the Nomination Committee upon his appointment as Chairman following the Company’s AGM.
