Advanced Microgrid Solutions names its Board member Kelly Warner as President

– USA, CA – Advanced Microgrid Solutions (AMS), a pioneer in the use of energy storage systems for electric utility grid support, today named Kellogg (Kelly) L. Warner as president. He joins the leadership team of CEO Susan Kennedy and co-founder Jackalyne Pfannenstiel, and will continue to serve on the AMS Board of Directors.

Warner brings more than three decades of energy services and utility industry experience and has been an advisor to AMS since the company’s inception in 2013. As president he will join the company full time and focus on corporate strategy, technology development, financing and business operations.

During the last two years. Warner was integrally involved in developing AMS’ core business strategy for bringing energy storage to market as a grid resource for utilities. His expertise in demand management and distributed energy systems helped shape AMS’ early success in capturing one of the first large utility contracts in the world for behind-the-meter energy storage.

Warner has spent the last 15 years in the role of CEO, most recently with Deerpath Energy, Inc., a micro-wind energy company that he founded. He was also formerly the CEO of XENERGY and KEMA, Inc. where he led policy, strategy, and business development initiatives that span the value chain of the energy services and utility industry. Warner started his career in solar and became a national expert in the field of energy efficiency and demand-side management. Warner is a recognized expert in utility industry restructuring and was responsible for the development of one of the first retail energy service companies in the U.S. Warner holds an M.S. in Civil Engineering from Stanford University and a B.A. in American Studies from Williams College.
