– IRELAND, Dublin – Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c. announces the appointment of Helen Elizabeth Normoyle (48) as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 17 December 2015.
Helen is the Chief Marketing Officer at DFS, Britain’s leading upholstered furniture retailer, and will remain in her executive role whilst a Non-Executive Director of AIB.
Helen is a Director of DFS Trading Limited. Prior to joining DFS, Helen was a Director of Marketing and Audiences at the BBC and has held director-level roles with Ofcom, the UK communications regulator, and Motorola.
On Helen’s appointment, Chairman, Richard Pym said “Through her past experience and current executive role at DFS, Helen brings with her a unique insight and a wealth of experience across relevant customer focused, digital and marketing activities which will be invaluable to the Board in the coming years.
