G2 Web Services appoints Roy Banks to its Board

Bellevue, WA – USA –G2 Web Services, a leading global provider of payment risk management services, today announced that Roy Banks has been appointed as the newest member of the G2 Board of Directors. As an experienced payments industry executive with a history of successful executive leadership and management, Banks will be a key advisor for G2 Web Services.

Banks has over 20 years of public and private corporate leadership, most recently as CEO of Accelerated Payment Technologies, Inc., which provides payment technology solutions to the retail software and payment processing industries. During his tenure, the company’s net revenues grew significantly over a four-year period, culminating in the sale of the company for $413 million, one of the largest technology company sales in Utah history.

Prior to Accelerated Payment Technologies, Inc., Banks was President of Authorize.Net and was responsible for building the company into the leading provider of global e-commerce payment processing solutions. Prior to joining Authorize.Net, Mr. Banks held a number of engineering and marketing positions with WordPerfect, which was later acquired by Novell and then Corel. Banks has also served on the Electronic Transaction Association Board of Directors. He holds a BS in Marketing from Utah Valley State College.
