ICAP announces Stuart Bridges to its Board of Directors as upcoming Group Finance Director

– UK, London – ICAP plc (IAP.L), a leading markets operator and provider of post trade risk mitigation and information services, announces today that Stuart Bridges will be appointed Group Finance Director. The appointment is subject to FCA approval.

He joins from Hiscox Ltd, the international specialist insurer, where he has been Chief Financial Officer since 1999. He is a main board director at Hiscox and member of the Executive Group where he is one of three executive directors leading the strategic direction of Hiscox.

Stuart, who will sit on the Global Executive Management Group and Board of ICAP, will be based in London and will report to Michael Spencer, Group Chief Executive Officer.

Stuart Bridges (54) joined Hiscox in 1999. He is a Chartered Accountant (qualified with Arthur Andersen) and has held posts in various financial service companies in the UK and US, including Henderson Global Investors. He is a member of the Prudential Financial and Taxation Committee of the Association of British Insurers and a member of the audit committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He is a Non Executive Director of Caledonia Investments plc. Stuart attended Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, and has an MA (Hons) in Engineering.
