– UK, London – Milamber (ISDX: MLVP), a specialist business incubator, are delighted to announce the appointment of Mark Bernard “Barney” Battles as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.
Mr Battles, aged 49, recently joined Milamber as an Adviser. In becoming a Director of the Company, Barney is now making a fuller commitment to helping the board develop business strategy and new business opportunities.
Barney is a Scottish Chartered Accountant, qualifying with Ernst & Young in 1990, after earning a Masters Degree in Finance and Computing from the University of Aberdeen. He has held many executive roles during his career as a serial entrepreneur, including; CFO of London’s largest digital communications agency Wheel (now “LBI”) and Finance Director of managed services IT organisation, Enables IT Limited.
Mr Battles is currently Managing Partner and Owner of Balgownie Ventures Ltd, which is a private equity adviser to early stage TMT ventures; he is also the founder of The League of Angels, the investor society working with European SMEs to raise finance and deliver commercial opportunities. Barney also supports the Genesis Initiative, a cross party European political initiative to promote SME organisations with patron HRH Prince Michael of Kent. He also owns various companies within the luxury, fashion, property, concierge and film/TV industries.

Mr. Battles is currently interested in 217,014 ordinary shares of 1p each in Milamber, representing 5% of the Company’s issued share capital.
