Nutanix adds Steve Gomo to its Board of Directors

– USA, CA – Nutanix, the next-generation enterprise computing company, today announced the addition of Steve Gomo to its board of directors. Steve brings over forty years of financial and management experience to the Nutanix board, including having served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at NetApp Inc. from October 2002 until his retirement in December 2011. Steve currently sits on the boards of SanDisk, NetSuite and Enphase Energy.

“Steve is an iconic Silicon Valley builder who has seen growth and culture come together at both HP and NetApp in the last three decades,” said Dheeraj Pandey, co-founder and CEO. “As we define the scope of invisible infrastructure, the Nutanix board will bank on his fearlessness and foresight to build a company that could be iconic.”

Before NetApp, Steve served as Chief Financial Officer of Gemplus International S.A., Asera, Inc. and Silicon Graphics, Inc. Over the course of his career, Steve has worked in various finance, manufacturing, and management positions, including a role as sector controller for Hewlett Packard’s printer and PC business, which generated revenue of over $20B.

“I have always been passionate about melding growth and culture,’’ says Steve Gomo. “At HP in the ‘80s, we were one of the best places to work and yet we epitomized execution. At NetApp, we did the same last decade. Long lasting companies are built on the pillars of customer focus (consistently exceeding expectations), character (people and ecosystem) and substance (numbers and social impact). Building and scaling Nutanix will be so much fun.”
