Oxford Technology VCT announces Alex Starling and Richard Roth to its Board as upcoming Directors

– UK – Oxford Technology VCT Plc today announces the appointment of two new Directors.

Mr Alex Starling and Mr Richard Roth will join the Board of Oxford Technology VCT Plc with immediate effect.  Shareholders will be asked to confirm their election at the forthcoming AGM on 27th August 2014.

Mr Alex Starling runs an advisory business helping technology companies raise venture capital and thrive in competitive markets.  He is also a shareholder in several young growing companies. Alex is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, has a PhD in Engineering from Cambridge University and holds the ICAEW Diploma in Corporate Finance.

Mr Richard Roth worked for two blue chip companies before he joined easyJet, and was one of the key executives that transformed the business from private company to household name. He has worked as CFO for an airline, and most recently worked as the Director of Performance Management and Turnaround for the Monarch Group. He has also had a number of consulting assignments, helping companies determine their strategy, and implementing business improvements.  He holds 10,000 shares in Oxford Technology VCT.

The current chairman Mr John Jackson today announces his retirement.  The Board would like to thank him for his many years of service and contribution to the VCT.   Alex Starling will take over as the new Chairman.

Mr Lucius Cary, Managing Director of Oxford Technology Management, the manager of the VCT will continue to attend Board Meetings but will resign as a Director at the AGM.
