Spectris announces Lisa Davis to Board as upcoming Non-Executive Director

– UK – Spectris plc (SXS: LSE), the productivity-enhancing instrumentation and controls company, today announces that Lisa A. Davis will join the Board as a Non-Executive Director immediately following the  Annual General Meeting on 25th April 2014.

Lisa is currently Executive Vice President Strategy, Portfolio and Alternate Energy at Shell International Petroleum Company.  Lisa has worked within the Oil Industry over the last 28 years in a wide range of roles including upstream production, refining operations, supply, and sales and marketing. She graduated in Chemical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley.

Announcing the appointment, John Hughes, Chairman of Spectris said: “I am delighted that Lisa has agreed to join us. She will bring significant knowledge of the oil and gas industry and process plant operations to our discussions and her skills will be a valuable addition to our Board.”
