Universe appoints Andrew Blazye to the Board as Non-Executive Director

– UK, Southampton – Universe (AIM: UNG.L), a leading developer and supplier of point of sale, payment and on-line loyalty systems, is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Blazye as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Mr Blazye, aged 56, has over thirty years of experience in loyalty marketing, petrol retailing and payment systems. He is currently President of International Corporate Development and a member of the global executive team at FleetCor Technologies Inc (“FleetCor”), a global provider of specialised payment products and services to businesses. From 2007 to 2011, he served as Chief Executive of FleetCor Europe, turning the division into Europe’s largest independent fuel-card business through a combination of organic and acquisitive growth. He is a Director of a number of FleetCor’s UK and European subsidiary companies.

Before joining FleetCor, Mr Blazye served as a Group Director at dunnhumby, the UK customer analytics company owned by Tesco plc. Prior to this, he enjoyed a 25-year career at Shell International Ltd, a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc, which he joined in 1980. At Shell, he was latterly General Manager of the Global Payment & Loyalty Division.
