Yozio announces Ashu Garg to its Board after completion $7m Series A funding round led by Foundation Capital

– USA, CA – Yozio, the company powering organic growth for mobile apps, today announced that it has completed a $7 million Series A round of funding that it will use to help businesses around the world grow, activate, and convert their mobile user base. The new funding comes after record growth for Yozio’s customers—Yozio has powered more than 75 million mobile app installs, a 10x increase over the past year. In tandem with the funding, the company unveiled Yozio Deep Link Drill Down, the industry’s first deep linking analytics solution that gives growth teams the insight to drive more in-app conversions.

The investment was led by Foundation Capital, with participation from Illuminate Ventures, Webb Investment Network, AME Cloud Ventures and others. Yozio has received 1.6 million in seed and angel funding to date, bringing total funding to $8.6 million. The new capital will help accelerate development of its mobile growth platform and expand engineering, sales, marketing, and business development. Ashu Garg, general partner at Foundation Capital, will join the board.

“There is a huge opportunity in the mobile space for new technologies that can help businesses effectively grow their mobile apps, convert their active user bases, and increase revenue. With the industry’s most robust mobile app growth platform, as well as a proven team of growth experts at its helm, Yozio is at the forefront of innovation in the space,” said Ashu Garg, general partner at Foundation Capital. “We are excited to partner with the team as the company continues to grow.”

Most companies struggle to acquire and convert high quality users on mobile—especially through organic channels—because they lack the tools used in traditional web marketing to measure, acquire, convert, and engage with users. The Yozio Mobile Growth Platform solves these problems with a range of technologies including attribution, deep linking, optimization, and personalization. Using this platform, Yozio customers are able to acquire a majority of all new users through organic channels such as SEO, email, mobile web, and social media, as opposed to relying on costly app install ads. To date, Yozio has driven 75 million app installs and hundreds of millions of dollars in conversions for its customers.

“Our vision is to transform the way companies ‘do growth’ in an increasingly mobile and connected world. This new investment will enable us to expand our industry leading mobile growth platform and help the companies using it acquire and convert high quality organic users at a fraction of the cost of advertising,” said Lei Sun, cofounder and CEO of Yozio. “We are thrilled to partner with our new and existing investors to deliver on our vision and, in the process, drive the transformation of mobile marketing and growth.”

Yozio — the most robust mobile growth platform — enables mobile growth teams to:
